Professional Service Is Our Business!

Although settlement in the area dates back to the 1830s, the modern city of Port Arthur, TX was founded by railroad magnate Arthur E. Stilwell just before the turn of the twentieth century. Once the center of the largest oil refinery network in the world, Port Arthur has a long and proud history, and that history is still a big part of the community today. One of the biggest landmarks in the city is the Museum of the Gulf Coast, which houses an impressive collection of items honoring noteworthy people from the city and the surrounding area.

Located about 90 miles east of Houston, Port Arthur is situated in a beautiful area adjacent to Sabine Lake. To the east it is bounded by the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, a man-made channel that connects the city to the Gulf of Mexico, and Pleasure Island beyond. Port Arthur's city limits enclose almost 144 square miles total, including just under 83 square miles of land and 61 square miles of water.

According to the 2010 Census, Port Arthur is home to just under 54,000 people living in over 23,000 homes. More than 60 percent of Port Arthur residents own and maintain their own houses. The city is also home to almost 3,000 businesses.
